Returning to his role as Genesee County native Albert Brisbane for the second
year in a row, GCC Professor Dan Snyder will join the roster of ghosts featured
at two fundraising events in support of the Historic Batavia Cemetery.
On September 17th at 2pm, Snyder joins fellow Rudely Stamp’d
players Derek Maxfield and Michael Gosselin in their roles as General John
Martindale and Rev. John Yates, respectively, at “Tea and Spirits”, a
teatime lunch and performance hosted by the Holland Land Office Museum. The
event is part of a larger museum exhibit featuring the cemetery and its role in
Batavia history.
With tours starting at 7pm, the Historic Batavia Cemetery will also host its
annual Ghost Walk on October 21st. The three performers will once again reprise
their roles and will be joined by fellow Rudely Stamp’d impressionist Jess
Maxfield in the role of Mary Elizabeth Wood, one of Batavia’s first librarians.
Proceeds from both events go to the Historic Batavia Cemetery Association,
which maintains and preserves the cemetery, located on Harvester Avenue in
Batavia, NY.
